*1.  Choose a book from the choices listed above, and read it.
*2.  Read Ms. L'Engle's Biography site.(Click on the biography link)
3.  After reading AWrinkle in Time, you have met the Murry family.  Visit this Murry Family site to get the "low down" on the characters, and to see which other L'Engle novels include these characters.
4.  In addition to the Murry family, Ms. L'Engle has other family series:  the O'Keefe family, and the Austin family.  Research which books cover each family at the Tesseract site.  Design a family tree for one of the families in the series. The following link on designing a Family Tree might be helpful.
5.  Read The Arm of the Starfish. Research starfish using some of the following sites: Starfish Info., True Starfishand Starfish Model.
6.  In A Ring of Endless Light, Vicky works with dolphins.  After reading the novel, learn as much as you can about dolphins.  Some informative links are:
Dolphins, Bottlenose Dolphins, Wild Animal Watch: Dolphins site, and theCetacea site. From the information you collect, choose one of the following activities: 1) Design a web page on a dophin species of your choice.
                 2) Create a Presentations slide show on dolphins to share with your class.
                 3) Using HyperStudio, make a "Living Book" about dolphins for the first
                      grade students.  Share your book with the first grade class.
7.  Visit the following link: Madeleine L'Engle's multimedia site.   Scroll down to the sounds portion of the page.  Listen to Ms. L'Engle's interview, article and poem.  Come up with 3-5 interview questions you can ask someone in the building.  Set up a time to interview this person.  Ask the questions you prepared, and take notes on their responses.  Type up your interview and turn it in to your teacher.
