Welcome to United CUSD #304

Bridge Construction Might Hamper Drive to the High School
As part of the project to replace the structure carrying Illinois Route 164 over Cedar Creek (approximately 1.5 miles east of U S Route 34, northeast of Monmouth, Illinois), a portion of Illinois Route 164 will be closed for the duration of the project.

This closure is anticipated to begin on March 7, 2017 and stay in effect until October 16, 2017.

A marked detour utilizing Cameron Road and US Route 34 will be in place, prior to closure. The actual closure will be northeast of the intersection with 210th Avenue and southwest of the intersection with 215th Avenue.

Storm Tracker-Congratulations to high school health/driver’s ed teacher and former football coach Tim Engebretson for being named a 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award winner at Highland Community College in Freeport, Illinois.

The award is given to individuals who exemplify community leadership, demonstrate professional achievement, and believe in the mission of community colleges.

Engebretson is a 1982 graduate of Highland and earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University in 1984.

He was honored at the school’s annual college foundation dinner on October 20.

After spending several years at Knoxville High School, he came to Warren High School in 1991 to become head football coach, culminating with a United state championship in 2004.

The United High School is pleased to announce the completion of a brand new greenhouse to be utilized by the Vocational Agriculture and Biological Science departments. The project was a joint effort of the Science program, the ag program, and the Galesburg Community Foundation. Plans are in the works for flower sales through the ag department for the next year.  United is thrilled to add this hands on "classroom" for our students to use throughout their high school careers.
